Be Happy!

Be Happy? Happiness? What really is happiness?  Philosophers have long sought for an adequate definition. Happiness is often defined as being cheerful; content, ecstatic, elated, overjoyed, pleased, high-spirited, and euphoric. Happiness is indeed a positive quality that is most often achieved by people who have a strong sense of identity and achievement, who cherish their relationships with family and friends and who believe that life has meaning and purpose.

Psychologists agree that lasting happiness comes from within the person.  The happiest people are those who experience life in its different forms and circumstances without allowing the painful circumstances to get the better of them.

When we face those unbearable challenges that break our spirits, we do more harm to ourselves trying to manage them on our own. It is not our specialty to solve those difficulties. The bible teaches that we are to give over such burdens to Jesus Christ who is the burden-bearer. And we are to trust Him completely to manage those personal and business anxieties. We are to advised to “cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

Now look up! You cannot climb uphill to happiness by thinking downhill thoughts.
